Mark Klamberg

Mark Klamberg is a CILRAP Research Fellow and Professor in Public International Law at Stockholm University, where he is course director of the general course in public international law and the advanced course in international criminal law. He is the Deputy Director for the Stockholm Centre for International Law and Justice (SCILJ), member of the board for the Swedish branch of Association Internationale De Droit Pénal (AIDP) and a guest lecturer at Edinburgh University.

He has been an Associate Professor at Uppsala University (2013-2015), Research Fellow at the University of Oxford, Institute for European and Comparative Law (2018-2019), and Member of the Senior Common Room, Christ Church. He has previously clerked at a district court (Blekinge Tingsrätt) and the International Criminal Court in The Hague.

Professor Klamberg earned his law degree (Jur. Kand.) at Lund university, LL.M. degree at the Raoul Wallenberg Institute, and LL.D. at Stockholm University. He also holds a bachelor’s degree (Fil. Kand.) in political science from Stockholm University.

Professor Klamberg’s research interests ranges from general matters of international law to international criminal law, surveillance and privacy as well as the intersection between law, political science and international relations.
